The staff at the front was very friendly and we paid our $6 to get in. On a midweek day in July, it wasn't very busy. We knew about the half-mile walk to get to the beach, but on a hot 90 degree day, the hilly walk seemed a lot longer than that while bringing stuff for the beach.
